SPH Longhu Completes West Africa Market Tour, Deeply Exploring Overseas Demand for Cooling Products
From June 2 to 9, 2026, the SPH Longhu foreign trade team conducted a market tour in Nigeria and Cameroon and attended the World Health Expo Lagos. Through on-site research at West African wholesale markets and pharmacies, the team gained deep insights into the distribution channels and overseas procurement demands for cooling balms, mosquito repellent oils, and Vaseline products. Moving forward, SPH Longhu will continue to monitor West African market dynamics to advance precise localization strategies for its cooling product lines and deepen its presence in the region's core healthcare market.
From June 2 to June 9, 2026, the SPH Longhu foreign trade team conducted an eight-day field visit to Lagos, Nigeria, and Douala, Cameroon. On the first day, the team attended the World Health Expo Lagos held at the Landmark Centre. As one of the most influential B2B platforms for the healthcare industry in West Africa, this year's expo brought together over 500 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and attracted over 8,000 professional visitors. Covering sectors such as medical devices, diagnostic equipment, and consumer health products, the event served as an efficient window for the team to gain insights into market channels and industry trends in the region.

During the trip, the team visited wholesale markets, chain pharmacies, and high-end supermarkets to conduct a comprehensive survey of the market environment and distribution landscape for cooling balms, medicated oils, and Vaseline products.

With a population exceeding 220 million and a high incidence of mosquito-borne diseases, Nigeria represents a market where cooling and mosquito-repellent products are essential for the general public. Cameroon is the third-largest export market for Chinese cooling balms, with import volumes exceeding 1,400 tons over the past three years; leveraging the advantages of the Port of Douala, it possesses the regional distribution capability to serve neighboring Central African countries.

Building on the findings of this survey, SPH Longhu will continue to monitor market dynamics in West Africa and explore more precise localization strategies for its cooling product lines and Vaseline products.
